Charles Warren Sens, Jr
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Sens began his career in real estate sales and development.  In the late 1970’s he organized a $350M Real Estate investment portfolio in various Colorado Resort Ski area locations. Warren’s first mining project was outside of Aspen, CO on the Independent Pass side of Leadville and included 2600 feet of underground workings (tunneling), long hole drilling and 600 feet of core drilling etc., resulting in a major discovery of underground load deposit structures identified mapped and plated, which was certified at over 1,800,000 oz of gold. Mr. Sens then formed Crystal Victoria Corporation (CVC) in March of 1987, and extended his holdings to high value claims in eastern Utah where huge deposits from Colorado ice age rivers settled over several millennia. Mr Sens unique real estate and mining experience make him particularly well suited to develop open land in Eastern Utah into a hub for critical mineral development and processing.

Nino Petoia
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Petoia has over 30 years’ experience in corporate finance, accountancy and management of medium and small businesses. As Director of Nirick Corporate Finance Limited and Clouds End Services Limited, Nino held the position of Management Accountant with The Travel Company Ltd, a leading corporate travel business, achieving an annual growth rate in excess of fifty per cent and a turnover of £120m per annum by 1992. He was also responsible for all aspects of internal controls the creation and chairing of the IT steering committee. Similarly, he took Travellers World Limited and Hawaiian Travel Centre Ltd from negative asset positions to very profitable companies. In 1998, Nino sold his holding in these companies to advise a number of small to medium-sized businesses on various projects including negotiating a joint venture in Malaysia, organizing trade finance and negotiating the purchase of a manufacturing business in Hungary.

Lawrence Hilton, Esq
General Counsel

Mr. Hilton holds both Juris Doctorate and Masters of Business Administration degrees from Brigham Young University. Admitted to both the Utah and California bar associations, he has practiced in the areas of insurance coverage and defense, commercial litigation, business formation, estate planning, bankruptcy and Constitutional law for more than 30 years. In 1998, Mr. Hilton founded Dominion Insurance Services and has since developed innovative insurance programs for professional Associations around the country. Beginning in 2009, Mr. Hilton conceptualized, drafted and then shepherded through the Utah Legislature the Specie Legal Tender Act, which was passed into law in 2011, with important amendments adopted during the 2012 session. In 2013, he co-founded the United Precious Metals Association (UPMA) to promote the commercial framework necessary to implement Utah's new monetary system. Mr Hilton brings exceptional legal and business formation expertise to CVC’s management team.

Mike McCandless

Michael McCandless has worked in the permitting, government relations, business development and extractive industries since 1993.  In 2017, he became the full time Director of Permitting and Business Development for Prolific Mining on their gold mining project in Garfield County Utah.  In this role, Mike managed all the permitting, business development, environmental and maintenance operations during shutdowns. Currently, Mike works as a Principal of Resource Development Group where he contracts directly with individual mining projects to assist mining companies with regulatory compliance, consultant relations, resource evaluations, claim management and contract extraction with a specific focus on strategic and critical mineral projects in the US.  

Ryan Camacho, PhD

Dr. Camacho graduated with a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Rochester. He has worked at Caltech and Sandia National Labs, and is currently an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Brigham Young University. Dr. Camacho has led major programs in quantum engineering for the US. Department of Energy, and frequently publishes work in machine learning, photonics, additive manufacturing, and other technologies. Dr. Camacho sits on external advisory boards for several private and government organizations interested in technology development.

Patrick Lewis

Mr Lewis graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Electrical Engineering followed by a Masters in Systems Engineering from the University of Arizona. He has managed multi-disciplinary teams of engineers with tens of millions of dollar budgets producing items from guided missiles, to novel medical devices, state of the art radiation detection systems, and advanced lighting and laser systems for various clients ranging from start-ups to the US government. Mr Lewis has served as a Director of Business Development where he advised the business on technical strategy while pursuing and winning Small-Business Innovation Research Grants and large government contracts. Mr Lewis’s brings deep technical and business development experience to CVC’s technical advisory board.
